Organizational Leadership Careers

Executives

 

For those with a background in organizational leadership as well as many years of experience and success with a company, executive positions are at the top of the aspirations list. Executives are the leaders of an organization. Their leadership skills and vision are what drive a company or organization to success.

School Administrators

 

For those who do not wish to work in the corporate world, a position as a school administrator may be the most appropriate career path. School administrators are sometimes called principals or directors, depending on the type of school they are leading. In addition to a background in organizational leadership, aspiring school administrators should have experience in the field of education, usually as a teacher or professor.

 

These positions require many years of experience, as well as certifications in the specific field of school administration. Postsecondary education administrators at colleges or universities are often required to have a doctorate.

 

According to the BLS, postsecondary education administrators make an average annual salary of $88,390. This is a little less than the average management salary.
