Master of Education in Arts and Academic Interdisciplinary Education

The arts are more valuable than ever in the modern classroom. That’s why Southeastern has created the Arts and Academic Interdisciplinary Education concentration as part of its Master of Education program. Students will take 36 hours of education courses that combine visual arts, theater, music, and dance elements. You will learn to integrate these disciplines into your everyday teaching so they can be applied to your curriculum. This degree concentration prepares you to creatively present classroom material in a way that is meaningful for students.

Total Credits: 36 hours
Program Length: 16 to 24 months; full-time (9 credit hours per semester), part-time (6 credit hours per semester)
Program Delivery: Online classes; on-campus classes for four courses offered only in the summer semester
Tuition: $375 per credit hour

Admission Requirements

  • Completed application
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (official transcripts required)
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 or an official GRE score, or have completed three years of teaching
  • A writing sample
  • Two references (professional and personal)
